Not only are pairs of black tights or stockings wonderful fashion items, but for many, they're part of their uniform or dress code. They come in different sheernesses that either allow or completely block the legs beneath from being seen. Their form-fitting nature, however, accentuates the legs and brings a level of class and decorum to pretty much any outfit.

As their part of the school uniform, Shouko Komi and some of her classmates (from Komi Can't Communicate) sport a pair of opaque black tights that give the look a neater and more put-together vibe.
