While the definition of beauty varies across cultures, bishōnen (美少年, lit. "beautiful boy") is a term that refers specifically to young men of androgynous beauty. We've collected illustrations that depict this fleeting period of ephemeral youth and beauty for you to peruse below.

The gorgeous Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito (from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) has many fans, thanks at least in part to his lovely appearance.

As you look through them, consider: all beauty fades. Will you still love them despite this irrefutable fact?

Have you heard the term bishonen (美少年)? It literally means “beautiful young boy” in Japanese and can be used to describe many of the young men you see in manga and anime. Rather than being conventionally muscular or rugged, guys with this title tend to be of a more slender frame with soft, delicate facial features.

Shinji Ikari and Kaworu Nagisa (from Neon Genesis Evangelion) certainly fit the bill, don’t you think?

Have any of the hotties below hypnotized you with their looks?
