Originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 1987 to March 1996, this classic gender-swapping series revolves around teenager Ranma Saotome, who gains the ability to transform into a girl when exposed to cold water after falling into a cursed Chinese spring during a martial arts training journey. Since getting doused in hot water changes him back into a boy, this often results in hilariously awkward situations and misunderstandings, all part of the series’ charm.
