Those who have played the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo must be familiar with retro pixel-art video games. While immersing themselves in video games every day, back in their childhood many people must have entertained the idea of having their favorite manga or anime adapted into a video game or even creating their own.

Some artists decided to manifest those wishes in the form of these pixel-art illustrations. Enjoy!

Today is Famicon Day. Nintendo released its first home-use video game console, Family Computer on July 15, 1983. Since then, Famicon has been loved by many families, and also brought about a generation of video game consoles. The games themselves are 8 bit, and the lack of data space results in unique 8 bit tunes. Furthermore, it also saw the birth of popular game softwares like Donkey Kong, Super Mario Brothers and Dragon Quest that are still used today.
Today, we have a special collection of illustrations drawn in Famicon-style, dotted-images. Bask in the nostalgic, retro feel as you enjoy the illustrations!

Guess what day it is today!
In 1983, July 15th, Nintendo first sold that well known device, the Nintendo Entertainment System, otherwise known as Famicom... in Japan. The original design has white and rouge colors and just looking at it takes you way back, so retro. The controller looks so cute, too. Remember playing forever on it? I do!
Check out these nostalgic inducing illustrations!
