<div>Everyone, it's now time to have fun folding some paper toys after you have prepared a pair of scissors, a glue, and your favorite "paper toy template" (展開図)♪ On pixiv, the tags "paper toy template" (展開図) and "papercraft" (ペーパークラフト) are used by artists who like handicraft when they publicize their illustrations. The cute graphics of characters with head/body ratio of 1:1 make us want to fold many paper toys and decorate our desk with them. It's hard to resist immersing ourselves into these detailed handicrafts and we might soon find ourselves furring our brows in concentration, trying to fold a difficult template.<br /><br /></div><p>Today, we have gathered some illustrations which will make you want to create your own original paper toys. Enjoy!</p><p></p>

Do you remember those coloring books that we used to love when we were younger? Have you ever looked at an amazing painting and thought, "I wish I could color like this!"...? On pixiv, illustrators sometimes post lineart submissions tagged nuttemo <i>iinoyo</i>, which are free for anyone to color. They are perfect for whoever enjoys coloring or for people who want to practice!<br />The tag <i>Nuttemita</i> features the results - illustrations that users tried to color themselves. The same line drawing can look completely different according to the way in which it's colored! If you look at the various image response under the lineart submissions, you won't believe those illustrations come from the same base!<br /><br />Today we collected a number of works tagged <i>Nuttemo iinoyo </i>and <i>Nuttemita. </i>Check out how many ways there are to color! Enjoy.<p></p>

<i>Uchi no ko </i>(うちの子, lit. "my child") is a Japanese tag which is used for original character illustrations. Original characters are created by artists themselves, who choose not only the design but also the character's personality. It's easy to grow attached to one's original characters, to the point of considering them your own babies! Plus, it's very nice when other people grow attached to your character after seeing your illustrations.<p></p><p>Today we collected a number of illustration tagged <i>uchi no ko</i>, characters created by pixiv artists and, we're sure, very much loved! Enjoy!</p>

Today, we have a special feature on glass jars with a variety of things squeezed in. You might even find the thing that’s been in your imagination since you began reading this! Do take a look!"

To all the illustrators just starting out: have you ever looked at your favorite artists’ works, and then let out a sigh after looking at your own? However! It’s too early to say “I’ll never be that good,” and call it quits! pixiv has compiled a “10 Year Evolution Record” from user submissions detailing how various artists’ skills matured over 10 years. The charts convey that even the most skilled users are only here now through much effort and growth. There’s a wide selection from users who steadily refined their drawing through sketching one beloved character over again, to those who, one year, just showed a drastic change in their style.
Today, we present those “10 Year Evolution Records.”

Here we have a How to Draw guide by our users, focusing on the eyes today. From the color of the eyes to the shape of the eyebrows, having distinct eyes for each character is very important. It’s definitely fun to pay close attention to each character’s eyes and take note of their features.
Today, we have a user-event with users who have attempted to create 10 different characters with just their eyes. For people troubled with the drawing of your character’s eyes, we highly recommend you to take a look!

Do you know exactly what you have in your bag? You may have a wallet, stationary, candies, little Teddy, etc. It is likely that they are your favorite stuff. Once you take everything out, you would be surprised to see that there are more things than you imagin.

Today is the 2nd of Jan, which is the perfect day to write down a New Years resolution!! It's actually really hard to slide a brush pen across Japanese paper and make it look nice, huh. On pixiv, there's a template that lets you write your ambition for this year down that has been used every year. Check out what things people have ambitions for!

In a parallel universe to ours, there's a Japan that's involved in the Student War Project.
On Twitter, there was a Shindanmaker called "Students' War" that gave your student a faction of White, Black, or Red and would have a battle between all three by seeing how many illustrations were submitted on pixiv for each faction.
Characters could have names, weapons, special characteristics, and their personalities explained. All of them could wear school uniforms or normal clothing, but each character was unique. Which faction are you in? Check out these illustrations!

Snow globes are miniatures that are inside a clear spherical glass filled with water. When you move the snow globe slightly, you can see white specks that move around almost like snow, making a serene and beautiful sight. A whole snowy landscape in the palm of your hand-- check out the world of snow globes!

In September 2008, artists attempted to draw green hair illustrations in one hour and uploaded them to pixiv.
Wait, these were really drawn in one hour!? They inspired more green-haired one-hour art to be uploaded.<br />
Today's Spotlight is all about those one-hour draws on green hair!
