Most of us have probably dreamt of being a bird at some point in our lives. The way they soar high above us, wings flapping as they travel to faraway places, is a peaceful sight to behold; perhaps even filling us with longing to do the same. While they certainly look graceful when flying, birds also have a silly side to them and can be an adorable and healing presence. (Care for a wiggling budgie video, anyone?)

In today’s illustrations, we’re showcasing a variety of birds of all colors and sizes. Enjoy!

Birds freely soar through the skies in such a way that it often makes us humans quite envious. To be able to dance among the clouds and get a bird’s eye view of the world from above is a feat that has only been available to us since the invention of the skyscraper and the airplane. Perhaps our beloved winged friends will continue to inspire us to new heights.

Raiden Shogun (from Genshin Impact) looks unperturbed by the three little birds resting on top of her.

Have any of the illustrations below taken your imagination to new heights?

There are probably many people who, looking for means to soothe themselves, keep Java sparrows or hill myna as pets. However, on pixiv, there are many illustrations of extremely cool (sometimes cute) birds that may make you feel, “Wait… They’re nothing like my pet bird!”

And that’s because these birds aren’t your average house pets. Birds are animals with wings and a beak--that’s the widely accepted definition of birds. But among the birds, some are birds of prey that hunt their preys with sharp eyes and undivided focus, while some others are smaller and look adorable with their fluffy body shape. There are just so many types of birds!

Today, we have collected some illustrations depicting birds with a presence so dominant you’ll be convinced that the birds are the rightful protagonists of the illustrations. Enjoy!

There are many beautiful combinations of girls and birds: with blue birds and pure white doves, or with jet-black crows and fierce birds of prey. Looking at such scenes can feel like watching a movie, and it will make you think: "I wonder what kind of story this girl has...?"

Today we feature a number of amazing illustrations portraying girls and birds. Parakeets are the cutest! They are so small you can hold them in your hands or walk them around on your shoulder. They have colorful feathers, sing beautifully and come in different sizes. But what makes them popular, maybe more than their looks, are their movements. They’re so cute when they tilt their little heads!! And when they restlessly fly around, looking so enthusiast about everything… It’s easy to fall in love with parakeets, isn’t it?
Today we collected a series of beautiful artworks having parakeets as protagonists. Enjoy!

Oh chicks and their fluffy, egg-colored fur! Their beady, black eyes and cute chirps will definitely make you feel obliged to protect them. However, chicks only look like that for the first 2 weeks from birth. A week after hatching, its weight doubles, and it molts in two weeks, giving way to brown feathers, as it walks up the stairs to adulthood. The period of time it can stay as a chick is truly precious.
Today, we have a special feature on these cute chicks, as tiny as the size of your palm.
