There’s a particular type of bond that only a parent figure and their child share, and it can be a wonderful thing to witness and be able to place that sort of trust in a person. Of course, family doesn’t have to be biological—in the famous words of Rina Sawayama, “We don’t need to be related to relate.”

Today’s feature is all about loving families of different shapes and sizes, whether by birth or choice. May their beautiful displays of love warm your heart and serve as a reminder to tell your loved ones how much you care about them. ♡

The bond between parent and child differs from person to person, and that is equally true in the world of anime. From overbearing and overprotective to stoic and absent, some parents find it hard to reach a good middle ground. Others, however, seem to have an effortless friendly bond with their kids that makes those around them jealous.

Perhaps thanks to their unusual circumstances, Usagi Tsukino and Chibi-Usa (from Sailor Moon) definitely have a unique relationship, but there’s no one in the world that Chibi-Usa looks up to more than her mother.

Which of the families below have a bond that gives you warm fuzzies?
