There are varieties of Japanese food, but Sushi is by far the most famous.Sushi has different styles including Nigiri (those shaped in bite-size), Maki (those rolled in nori seaweed), and Chirashi (those with toppings on the bed of rice). The combination of raw fresh seafood and vinegared rice is just terrific! Japanese people eat Sushi as a treat for special family occasions and mark of accomplishment. So you can safely say Sushi is the Japanese soul food.
Today's Spotlight is on the collection of Sushi illustrations!

It's a homestyle kind of taste yet is found on many menus-- Curry Rice! I'm getting memories of my mom and dad cooking some homestyle curry rice and everyone gathering to eat it together. Mmm! Glossy, sparkling, reflective curry... with boiled meats... mixed with curry powder... oh ah. It's a classic Japanese meal. Today, Jan 22nd, is Curry Rice Day! So here are some curry illustrations!

Oh, what do you like in your onigiri?
Onigiri's the food where you can just stick your favorite ingredient in the middle and eat it with your hands. Rice is easy to make at home or you can go to the convenience store to pick up some nice and handy onigiri. Check out these characters loving these awesome rice balls.
