Fan Art of Nijisanji Koshien 2021! - More Teams for Fiercer Competition

The Nijisanji Koshien tournament is an annual eBaseball event featuring the NIJISANJI VTubers that just started in 2020, but is gathering more and more attention by the year! In 2021, the event was hosted by VTuber Tenkai Tsukasa, who came up with the idea of a sports event in the first place, and NIJISANJI Vtuber Maimoto Keisuke, along with 8 teams who fought for the title.

Baseball is probably the most popular sport in Japan, and summer really does go hand-in-hand with it, as the crowds gather to support their favorite team while fighting the heat with an ice-cold drink. Thankfully, VTubers can be followed from the comfort of your living room, so we bet that many fans found a renewed liking for the sport thanks to NIJISANJI.

Fan Art of Nijisanji Koshien 2020! - Let’s Play Ball!

The Nijisanji Koshien is an eBaseball tournament hosted by the Vtuber Group NIJISANJI. It first kicked off in 2020, with participants playing the game Live Powerful Pro Baseball. It was originally started by now-independent VTuber Tenkai Tsukasa, who handed the metaphorical torch to NIJISANJI Vtuber Maimoto Keisuke.

After the success of the original tournament, the Nijisanji Koshien is looked forward to in earnest by fans and 2022 marks its third consecutive year. The coaches of each team nominate other VTubers in a draft-like system and train them as players for the tournament.

This compilation is centered on fan art from the OG tournament, Nijisanji Koshien 2020! It features the following teams:

Japan’s baseball season for 2016 has finished and last week from October 8th, the climax of the Central and Pacific leagues kicked off last week!

The Central league’s, Hiroshima Toyo Carp, decorated the title for the first time in 25 years, and the league’s three-time standing team, Yokohama DeNA Baystars will forfeit the rights of the first climax series’ foray.

In the Pacific league, Fukuoka Softbank Hawks were overwhelmingly at the top spot with a huge difference in rank from the other teams. The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters set a new record with a difference of 11.5 points in their 15 winning game streak.

Since it had been half a year, this was a game that the fans couldn’t take their eyes off of.

The 3 matches of the Climax series have finished the time is nigh for the final game to begin.

The arrival of the Japan series; what kind of team will grab the attention of Japan? Definitely keep your eyes peeled.

Summer Koshien - One of the highlights of summer in Japan. The official name of the tournament is the Japanese High School Baseball Championships, where all baseball players across the nation strive for and dream of playing in. On this day in 1915, the 1st Japanese Middle School Baseball Tournament was held in Toyonaka, Osaka. This day, August 18th has also become High School Baseball Day. Today, the name Koshien has established, but it all actually began in Osaka. Today, we have a feature on illustrations depicting the sweat, blood and tears of baseball youths.

Do you know about Doala? He is a blue koala mascot for Chunichi Dragons and joined the team in 1994. His most prominent features are his glittery bright pupils and his fluffy ears! Fuzzy cheeks! Maybe that's his secret to his popularity and also being really nice and thin. Doala is really good at backflips and dancing, so even his actions are kind of... cute! And... not cute. Well, because he likes to move freely around the baseball field they like to call him a wild marsupial! Check out these Doala illustrations!!
