What comes to mind when you hear the word wolf? Aloof, ferocious, cool yet intimidating, with their deafening howls and razor-sharp teeth are probably the most common impressions people have. However, they’re actually well-known for their love and loyalty towards their own family and friends. As one pack can spread out pretty far, it is said that they howl for themselves to be known. You can find a romantic side to them as they fight to survive along with their partner in the survival of the fittest.

Today, we’ve got a special feature on the silvery, beastly, yet gorgeous wolves. Well then, enjoy!

With their long, trailing noses and huge ears, this is the largest land animal: the elephant. Though they have massive bodies and round, peering eyes, they are animals that posses high intelligence and can coexist alongside tiny humans happily. Anyone who viewed these animals at their trips to the zoo during their childhood were surely envious of an elephants nose dexterity. One way they show their affection is to greet those who have taken care of them; they can remember these kind acts. The large elephant can nuzzle up on a small human and can appear content, a truly heartwarming thing.
Please enjoy these illustrations with an elephant motif!

Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun in the form of a wolf, along with her partner, Issun, the traveling artist set off on a quest to save the world from being trapped in darkness due to a curse by Yamata no Orochi. It’s a story about the miracle of returning life back to the world and expelling darkness.

Okami is an adventure game by Capcom, set in ancient-Japan with a Japanese-ink illustration touch to it, and is a story about gods and goddesses. The high acclaimed game has seen plenty of illustrations on pixiv, and there are also many that came to know about this game by watching Let’s Play, or playthrough videos online. This time (20 April), in conjunction with its 10th anniversary, we proudly present to you an Okami fanart special. Enjoy!

When it's this time of the year, it always reminds me of a picture book I read when I was young called "Buying Mittens"... ah, maybe it only reminds me of that book. Anyway, the book gave me warm fuzzies more than the mittens did...
Picture books or folklore like "Gon, the Little Fox" and "Buying Mittens" often featured foxes so I feel like they're a familiar animal. Well, except the part where they might cause mischief for us humans!
Today's Spotlight is all about those familiar foxes that we love so much.
They can be cool, cute... or sometimes comical... but looking at these foxes makes us feel great! Check them out!

Do you know what a Tanuki is? What do you think of when you hear about it? In Japan, there's a famous tale of people who stood by Kitsune (foxes) that were transformed into Tanuki (raccoon dog). People often use "tanuki" as a way to describe a sly person or someone who is good at evil plans without breaking their composure. Their tails are adorable and good at keeping balance!
With round ears, black eyes... fluffy tail... their droopy looks... man, I just love them!

Today's Spotlight is about illustrations featuring tanuki!! Even the realistic to adorable deformed cute ones are here!
