Parody works that basically get the gist of the concept, but perhaps aren’t quite there are tagged with “almost” (だいたいあってる). A particular trait of works with this tag is that they can’t be called flat out wrong, but they’re missing something and as such, get stuck in your head.

Have you ever drawn and tagged a work with “almost”? If not, do you have a favorite from another creator?

You may never have thought to see these images together, but by some miracle they mesh well together. Scrolling through these works of art you may find yourself thinking, "What? How do these fit together"? "Fits well enough" is a tag attached to illustrations that seem to make sense in spite of the strange combination of characters or situations. Discomfort and understanding have come together to make the perfect pair.

Today we are featuring illustrations under the tag "Fits well enough". Enjoy.

“Mostly accurate” (だいたいあってる) is a tag that is put on parody illustrations that are considered bizarre because they’re completely different from the original works and yet, for some reason, accurate… These illustrations have the power to make people do a double take and think back upon the original works. There’s something out of place with these illustrations, but the oddity isn’t something that you can’t appreciate entirely; these two conflicting sensations are bewildering, but… the bewilderment itself is pretty addicting!

This time we’re featuring illustrations tagged with “mostly on point”. Enjoy!

The “daitai atteru” tag are used on artwork that are described to ‘not exactly hitting the right spot but it’s quite close to being an original work’. Vice versa, it can also mean ‘it’s different from the original work but still resembles it closely’. You can’t help but to look closer and compare it to the original artwork.

We bring you a special feature on artworks tagged with “daitai atteru”. Keep the original artwork in mind as you look at them!
