The kimono is a traditional look that Japan is very well known for, but did you know that there are especially formal versions of the iconic garb? Furisode (kimono with long flowing sleeves) and montsuki hakama (formal kimono embossed with a crest) are worn on particularly auspicious occasions like coming-of-age ceremonies or hatsumode (the first visit to temples or shrines for the New Year).
Okita Souji, Izumo no Okuni, and Kagetora Nagao (from Fate/Grand Order) all look especially lovely in their colorful and ornate furisode, don't they?

Have a look at the fantastically formal looks below and see if there are any you'd like to try out for yourself.
