With their vividly colored and patterned wings, it's not hard to see why. You'll even find works on pixiv with the tag #choukawaii, which is a play on words as "chou" can mean "butterfly" or "super" depending on the kanji used. 

As one would expect from the King of the Fae, Oberon (from Fate/Grand Order) seems to have a soft spot for butterflies.
