Swimming is an important part of physical education on the island nation and during the hot summer months, the pools offer a bit of a cooldown for both their brains and their bodies. Of course, these pools have to be cleaned and as is common in Japan, it’s usually up to the students to see that this task gets done. For many, it’s an activity that creates a ton of fun summertime memories.
