Drawings of Guys With Sanpaku Eyes - Shot Through the Heart
One of the most expressive parts of our faces is our eyes, and it’s no wonder many artists choose to convey their characters’ personalities through this feature. In Japan, the sanpaku (三白, lit. “three whites”) look, where the whites of the eyes are visible above or below the iris, is pretty popular due to the way it gives characters a bit of a cool edge. With such a piercing gaze, looking away from their eyes can be surprisingly hard, as you may soon find out for yourself.
Did any of these guys’ eyes bore into your soul?
