Contre-jour is a photographic technique where the light source is situated behind the subject. It can be a quite difficult one to master, especially for beginners - it’s not rare to look back at the pictures you took, only to find out that the subject came out completely dark! With the right amount of practice, though, you can turn your photographs into masterpieces! This technique can be used, in fact, to make the subject stand out even more.
