Today is Respect for the Aged Day!
It’s Respect for the Aged Day! It’s a day dedicated to celebrating and respecting the contributions of the elderly to our society. Have you conveyed your gratitude to your grandparents yet? This day was first celebrated in a village in the Hyogo Prefecture, when the village head of Taka-gun, Nomadani village in 1947 celebrated Day of the Elderly to respect the elderly and expand the village with their wisdom. Born in Japan, no other countries in the world celebrate this holiday.
This round, we have a series of illustrations expressing gratitude towards the elderly, depicting old couples and elderly figures. Enjoy!
