Yuri On Ice, A War Waged Between Princes of Ice!

Original anime “Yuri on Ice” premiered Autumn 2016 and is a production between cartoonist Mitsuro Kubo and anime director Sayo Yamamoto who penned the original draft. “Yuri on Ice” is the first in history to have an anime plot based around male figure skaters and has already gained a large following with female fans. There are two figure skaters who share the name of “Yuri,” Yuri Plisetsky and Yuuri Katsuki. While they both long to win over the approval of champion Victor Nikiforov, their fate will intertwine with the other in the complexity of the Grand Prix Final.
