Whatever lies 200m or more under the level of the sea is defined “deep sea”. Even now, in the 21st century, it remains a mysterious area which not many have explored. The reason is that it’s a very different environment from the one we’re used to live in, and together with the inconvenient light conditions, high water pressure and low water temperature it makes it nearly impossible even for a submarine to dive into those depths.
Try to make up for what we still don’t know with this collection of illustrations portraying the deep sea. Enjoy!
