15 years of adventure in Edo! Celebrating the Final Chapter: Gintama Fan-art
Invaded by aliens called Amanto in the late Edo period, the Edo Shogunate is forced to open their doors to these aliens. The samurai, who have been fighting against these foreigners for the sake of their country, are forced to give up their swords when a rule that bans the use of words is enacted. Looking like a sci-fi and emotional series at a glance, Gintama is a historical comedy series about the Yorozuya (Odd Jobs) trio, which consists of Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, and Kagura, that takes place in that parallel universe.
Gintama is a popular long-running series with jokes that can at times be nearly too dangerous to be broadcasted on television. Having 2 live-action movies and 15 years of serialization history, Gintama’s final chapter will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue No. 42 on September 15 this year.
