Fan Art of Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Romance Can Be A Dangerous Game

How are you enjoying the third season of Kaguya-sama: Love is War so far?

For those who may not have heard, Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic- is the third season of the popular slice of life rom-com which debuted on April 9th, 2022. The story follows Shuchiin Academy's student council president Miyuki Shirogane and his vice president Kaguya Shinomiya, both of whom have strong feelings for the other. However, rather than just confessing their feelings for each other, the prideful pair come up with scheme after scheme to get a love confession out of the other.

The “will-they-won’t-they” aspect of their relationship has been the story’s driving force and may be one of the reasons it's so popular.

This wacky manga includes quite a few interesting characters outside of the main duo as well. And while they rarely leave the school’s student council office, that does little to confine the humor and romance. The show’s popularity is also something that seems uncontainable as it took home three awards at the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards; Best Comedy, Best Couple, and Best Closing Sequence for its meme-worthy “Chikatto Chika Chika” dance. The second season also took Best Comedy the following year and the titular character Kaguya Shinomiya earned the title of Best Girl.

Student council president and top of his class. Miyuki is even the second-highest ranked mock exam scorer in the country. While just as prideful as Kaguya, his pride stems from the fact that he’s had to work very hard, both at school and as a part-timer, to help his family.

He hates the idea of being looked down on, especially by Kaguya. Hard worker he may be but he’s also a bit of a dreamer with aspirations of becoming an astronomer in the future.
