For centuries, the sight of a full red moon hanging in the night sky was an omen of ill things to come. What we’ve learned since then is that it’s actually a wonderful phenomenon called a Blood Moon. While that name may not put many at ease, it refers to the reddish brown color the moon takes on during a total eclipse. It’s an absolutely stunning and harmless phenomenon that should be enjoyed.
