Lycoris Recoil is an original anime produced by A-1 Pictures that aired from July to September of this year.

It follows protagonists Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue, members of an elite and secret organization known as DA, which confronts incidents of terrorism all while posing as high-school students working at the cafe LycoReco.

This series is packed with not only full-fledged action scenes but also heartwarming slice-of-life scenes, which helped it rise to popularity as it was frequently seen trending on Twitter and other social media this year.

Lycoris Recoil ranked 12th in 2022's "Net Buzzword 100," a project to determine the words that wer trending the most online based on how many people access each word's entry in either the pixiv Encyclopedia or Nico Nico Pedia.

Have you locked on to Lycoris Recoil, an original anime series that premiered on July 2, 2022?

Set in a fictional modern Japan, which for six years straight has topped global rankings in terms of security thanks to its underground organization DA (Direct Attack) and its elite all-female team of assassins known as Lycoris.

The members of Lycoris keep their country safe from criminals and terrorists while under the guise of regular high school girls. The anime's realistic and intense gun action combined with its cute, yet somewhat disturbing interactions between the characters has brought the series a lot of buzz.

Our art compilation today features Chisato Nishikigi, Lycoris' most powerful agent of all time, Takina Inoue, who through certain circumstances is assigned to be Chisato's partner, and LycoReco, their cafe and base of operations.
