Did you know pajamas actually originated in South Asia? They were adopted in the west in the early 1800s and soon spread to much of the world. They typically involve a loose shirt and pants, usually made from a comfy material like soft cotton. Sometimes pants are traded for shorts, especially in warmer climates.

Since they’re typically worn when lounging around at home, it’s rare to see your favorite characters wearing pajamas. This glimpse of Matikane Tannhauser (from Uma Musume Pretty Derby) in her off hours is just lovely, isn’t it?
