Did you know pajamas actually originated in South Asia? They were adopted in the west in the early 1800s and soon spread to much of the world. They typically involve a loose shirt and pants, usually made from a comfy material like soft cotton. Sometimes pants are traded for shorts, especially in warmer climates.
