While the wet hair look may not be everyone’s cup of tea, there’s something oddly sensual about drops of water rolling down someone’s face, and we might find our gaze unconsciously following their trajectory. Seeing someone standing in the rain can also stir feelings of melancholy deep inside us, not to mention it’s like a scene straight out of a movie. Oh, and did we mention wet hair can make for a sexy portrait too?

Today’s feature is all about characters with dripping wet hair! Did any of them make your chest flutter?

During the hot months of summer, we often look for all sorts of ways to keep cool. One way that’s super simple is to douse yourself with some crisp and cool water while wearing a simple shirt. It may sound silly, but doing so can actually reduce your risk of heat exhaustion and can keep you cooler longer than if you were to go topless as soaked cloth doesn’t dry as quickly as bare skin.

Makoto Kikuchi (from The iDOLM@STER) looks as though she’s having a blast mid-water gun battle.

Take a peek at the awesome illustrations below and see if any of them whets your whistle.

For some hair types, getting it wet only enhances its beauty. It’s a look that some try to recreate with hair gels and tonics. Getting it perfect may be difficult in real life, but seeing damp locks in anime and manga really gets its appeal across. The way the strands cling to the skin and fall just perfectly in all the right places is part of what makes wet hair so attractive.

Kyoko Igarashi (from THE iDOLM@STER) looks like she’s having a blast after taking a dip in the ocean, doesn’t she?
