Tokyo Revengers is a massively popular manga series that started being published in Weekly Shonen Magazine back in 2017. The manga spawned both an anime and live-action adaptation.

The story follows Takemichi Hanagaki as he teleports back in time to prevent his ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother Naoto from being killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Seeing Takemichi become injured through his efforts makes it easy for readers to cheer him on. The Tokyo Manji Gang members and their leader Manjiro Sano (nicknamed Mikey) are also fan favorites.

This love brought Tokyo Revengers to 4th place in this year’s Top 100 Internet Buzzwords based on the page views on pixiv Encyclopedia and Nico Nico Pedia.

The author of the popular manga Tokyo Revengers has confirmed that the series has entered its final arc. The anime adaptation aired its last episode on September 19th, 2021, making it a great fall binge if you haven’t seen it already!

The story follows the protagonist, Takemichi Hanagaki, as he figures out a way to control his time travel ability to try to prevent the Tokyo Manji Gang(*) from killing his ex-girlfriend Hinata Tachibana and her younger brother Naoto. But as Takemichi infiltrates the gang, he can’t help but get drawn into the violence.

Takemichi himself is a timid freeter, who is suddenly thrust into these time jumps… so he himself must also change to save those he cares about. Between the captivating characters and the complicated plot, this story is a must-see!
