In Echoes of Wisdom, players are sent on a quest to save Link and the Kingdom of Hyrule with the aid of the magical Tri Rod. Using this magical artifact, Princess Zelda can create “echoes,” which are imitations of objects and monsters that she can use freely.

Released on May 12, 2023, Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to the beautiful, innovative, and multiple-award-winning The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! It takes all of what made the first release great and makes it even greater! If we sound like a breathless fangirl, so be it! We’re not embarrassed! The 10 million copies sold in the first three days speaks for itself, making it the fastest-selling game for the Nintendo Switch!

Tears of the Kingdom has given some of its most iconic characters a makeover, and pixiv creators have taken note! What do you think of Zelda’s new haircut and Link’s new arm? The latter was a bit of an unexpected kind of glow-up, but we’re not complaining!

In what seems to be the blink of an eye, the year is coming to a close. As we look forward to what’s on the horizon, a collective look was taken at all of the best that gaming had to offer this year during the Game Awards 2022 on December 8, 2022.

Not only did we get announcements for upcoming games that are sure to make the nominee list for next year’s event, but we also got to see just how the most popular games of the year stack against each other.

One of the event’s biggest winners was Elden Ring, taking home the coveted Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best RPG.

When it comes to the number of awards won, however, God of War: Ragnarok was certainly no slouch, taking home Best Narrative, Best Score and Music, Best Audio Design, Best Performance, Best Action-Adventure Game, and Innovation in Accessibility.
