Yummy Yakitori!
"Yakitori" (literally means "grilled chicken") is a common menu at Japanese style street stalls (Yatai) and bars (Izakaya). The aroma of the charcoal-grilled chicken sharpens your appetite. It is quite simple to cook as you need to just put pieces of chicken meat on a skewer and grill it, but it is difficult to cook it just right as there is a Japanese saying "It takes three years to master skewering and the whole life for grilling". It is also difficult to decide whether you should eat the next spit of Yakitori with sauce or salt.
Today's Spotlight is about illustrations of the simply delicious yet deep Japanese soul food "Yakitori".
