Star Detective Precure! is the 23rd installment of Toei Animation’s hit Pretty Cure series and began airing on February 1st, 2026, on the TV Asahi network. For the first time in the franchise, the story takes on a detective theme, bringing mystery and magic together in one exciting adventure.

Anna Akechi (Cure Answer), a resident of Makoto Mirai Town in 2027, is sent back in time to 1999’s Makoto Mirai City by Pochitan, a fairy of time and space. There, she has a fateful encounter with Mikuru Kobayashi (Cure Mystic), a girl who dreams of becoming a great detective. When the mysterious Phantom Thieves begin stealing people's most treasured belongings, the two girls transform into the legendary Star Detective Precure to help those in need.

The theme of the series is: “See for yourself, feel for yourself, and think for yourself to find the truth.” Even mysteries that are too tough for one person to solve can be cracked when the two combine forces and face obstacles with unwavering determination.
