Getabako: Shoes Locker Room
What do you think when you hear the words “getabako: shoes locker room”? In Japan, getabako is where people take off their shoes indoors and it is a pretty familiar concept. They can even be found in schools, and I’m sure there are many Japanese people who connect this particular space to special memories like slipping love letters in crush’s getabako or confessing feelings to their crushes as they were about to leave the premises…
And how about on Valentine’s day, when you can’t wait to check if someone had given you Valentine’s chocolate? Thinking about it, there are so many events related to getabako!
We can even say that getabako is where juvenile love stories are born!
Today we collected a series of illustrations of getabako, shoes locker room. Enjoy!
