It’s easy to recognize a dwarf: their muscular bodies, shaggy beards, and glorious axes that might seem too big for their small nature. They often appear in fantasy novels and games, and they are usually portrayed spelunking the darkest mines looking for precious gems or working as blacksmiths - hitting hot steel with an heavy-looking hammer. They are such skilled craftsmen! It’s not rare to see them depicted not as heroes but as supporting characters - a little clunky and rough. But everyone knows they are great warriors and energetic builders, and many people love them. Today we collected a series of artworks portraying dwarves - this time as protagonists. Enjoy!
