Path of Electricity, Overhead Power Lines
Overhead power lines that stretch from electric poles are what support our daily lives by distributing electricity. Power lines were first introduced in Japan in November 1887, as the first thermal power station built in Kojimachi, Tokyo. As the power industry first started going in the West around 1882, it was a slightly late start for Japan. After that in around 1912 (Taisho period), the power industry began evolving rapidly, and has now become a vital part of our everyday lives. The power lines that we may have taken for granted are actually what supports our lifestyles.
Today, we have variety of illustrations featuring the power lines that bring us electricity.
