Kitsune-men (Mask of Fox) is used in rituals and Noh in Japan. Masks usually takes the form of expression of humans however in the case of Kitsune-men, it is used for worshipping animal gods such as Inari Okami. Foxes are said to have the power to transform themselves like humans and are worshipped as good god that brings fertility. “Kitune no Yomeiri (fox’s wedding - also means a something like a shower when the sun is shining in English)” is a saying which means the foxes will bring suitable candidate for marriage to unmarried woman and brings happiness to woman who are already married.
