Today is Christmas Tree Day!

Today, December 7th, is known as Christmas Tree Day. It commemorates the first ever Christmas tree that was decorated in Japan on this day in the year 1886. When we think about a Christmas tree we usually refer to a fir tree. The evergreen coniferous fir tree is decorated as the symbol of life since it stays lush even throughout winter. When we look at the beautiful green fir tree, decorated with glittering ornaments and decorative illuminations, we immediately feel that Christmas is already here.
