"Darling in the Franxx" overview

In this anime, the world has suffered from environmental destruction and shift in the earth's crust as a backlash of the spread of "magma fuel", a type of energy. Not to mention the existence of a mysterious enemy called 'klaxosaurs'. Boys and girls are then raised to pilot a humanoid robot called 'Franxx' to fight against klaxosaurs.
Humanity lives in a mobile fort city called 'Plantation' and moves the city as they travel from place to place on the ruined earth. The series' unique characteristic is in its peculiar depiction of the world, such as how the children are called by the numbers that the adults have given them or by names that originate from the numbers.
