A tsundere character acts cold or harsh (tsun) toward their crush or favorite things because they aren’t always able to be open about their adoration (dere). Tsundere is, therefore, a term that describes the said character gap and many find it addicting. Sometimes the love that is palpable through a tsundere character’s behavior and actions betrays their cold words; not to mention the way they treat and adore their beloved one once they’re over the “cold phase”.
