What is K/DA?
The K/DA series (referred to simply as K/DA) is a new line of skins released in League of Legends, a famous online game by the company Riot Games.
The line includes four characters, namely Akali, Ahri, Evelynn and Kai’Sa.
These skins are inspired by K-Pop idol groups and are known for their sexy and cool visuals.
K/DA video on YouTube has a lot of views and they're still increasing!
Although the release of the skins was announced on October 10, the announcement did not include much details. But the girls appeared in the countdown footage during the opening of League of Legends' World Championship Finals, held on November 4. The girls then debuted as an idol unit, performing their new song POP/STARS.
On the same day, the music video of POP/STARS was uploaded on League of Legends' official YouTube account. The catchy song, dance moves, and the high-quality video were among the reasons the video got 15 million views as of November 6, a mere few days since the release date, boosting K/DA's popularity even more.
Rising popularity due to the girls' punk performance
Contrary to Ahri who has always been popular, Akali's performance in the video spurred many discussions on various social media. In addition, the blackouts of the girls and their glowing neon body paintings give the video an extremely punk touch.
