Children's books may contain simple words, but the stories inside are often more than sharp enough to entertain the readers. Hence why we believe some of you must have been addicted to certain books that your literature teachers instructed you to read back when you were children. In fact, those of you who are still in elementary and middle school in Japan have probably read some children's books for your "morning reading time", or "morning reading" (朝読) for short.
Now if we adults start reading some children's books, we might be surprised by how genuinely entertaining these books are. We might even come to look at the same book that we used to read as children from a deeper perspective, comprehend the undertones, and discover new findings.
