He was known as the creator of Lupin III, the series that have been loved by many since its creation in 1967.
The story depicts the adventures of Lupin III, a thief who can be extremely laid-back but won't let his prey escape once he has set his eyes on them, and his gang of quirky individuals. Their escapades have been adapted not only into manga series but also anime series and movies--this is a work that has fascinated all of us through various types of media.
The Japanese TV program Friday Road Show will broadcast the first Lupin III movie titled Lupin III: Lupin vs. the Clone on April 19 as an expression of sympathy and gratitude for Monkey Punch.
