Lipstick is used to emphasize the lips. While shades of red and pink are certainly the most common, as they’re not huge jumps from a natural lip color, lipsticks can come in a wide variety of colors. They also vary substantially in texture and consistency. Adding a dash of red to a character’s lips can almost instantly make them seem a touch more mature, almost like magic.
