Drawings of Stained Glass - Richly Colored Illumination
Stained glass is most strongly associated with being a form of decoration in European churches that depicted biblical scenes like in illuminated manuscripts. They’re also common in other places of worship, like synagogues and mosques.
Colored glass pieces are cut into the basic shapes needed for the image and are held together with strips of metal, traditionally lead. This technique is what gives stained glass its iconic look.
