It’s time to get down and dirty with Splatoon 3, the latest entry in the Splatoon series of third-person shooter games. Have you played it yet?

Having recently hit shelves on September 9, 2022, this long-awaited Nintendo Switch-exclusive game brought back all of the fun elements of the first two games and added a few new tweaks that fans are sure to love.

Players once again have the option of choosing between the “Inkling” and “Octoling” factions of characters who wield a variety of weapons, including brand-new additions, that make use of vividly colored ink. Each weapon type has its own advantages and disadvantages so be sure to choose wisely!

Characters can also switch into their “swim forms”, either squids or octopuses, that are capable of traveling through ink-inundated areas faster than they can in humanoid form. There are also more customization options, like skin tone, eye colors, and hairstyles.

Also making a comeback is Turf War, the online multiplayer mode in which teams of two to four players can compete to stake the largest claim over a chosen stage by marking in their identifying color.

Players can also enjoy a brand-new single-player story mode, completely new stages, and music with a rocking, chaotic vibe. Everything about this game is sure to be a blast.
