Your favorite multitalented, turquoise twin-tailed girl is here to celebrate her 16th anniversary by collaborating with the equally iconic Pokémon series!
PokéMiku, officially known as “Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE 18 Types/Songs”, is an official collaboration between Pokémon and Hatsune Miku that was announced on August 31, 2023, Hatsune Miku’s 16th anniversary. In this project, six illustrators have created designs based on the idea of: “What if Hatsune Miku was a __-type Pokémon trainer?” These designs cover all 18 types of Pokémon ranging from Normal-type to Fairy-type.
Additionally, 18 popular Vocaloid producers, such as DECO*27 and PinocchioP, have each created a song for this project using BGM and sound effects from the Pokémon franchise. These one-of-a-kind music videos feature Hatsune Miku singing and interacting with your favorite Pokémon in various and sometimes unexpected ways, so make sure to check them out!
In Part 2 of this fanart series, we’ll be showcasing an additional six types of PokéMiku art, namely Ice-type Miku x Lapras, Rock-type Miku x Aurorus, Ground-type Miku x Flygon, Flying-type Miku x Altaria, Fairy-type Miku x Jigglypuff, and Bug-type Miku x Kricketune.
