Magical Mirai (lit. Magical Future) is an annual celebration highlighting virtual singers like Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO in 3DCG concerts along with interactive exhibitions where fans can let their creativity shine. Since its debut in 2013, the event has served as a hub connecting people through their shared love of creation, with Miku and friends as the spark.

In August 2025, Magical Mirai lit up Tokyo, Osaka, and, for the first time ever, Sendai! The Sendai leg celebrated its debut with a city-wide exhibition spread across multiple venues, with fun local tie-ins featuring Tohoku delicacies and beloved regional mascots like Tohoku Zunko and Zundamon.

This year's theme was seigai itten (星河一天), a poetic phrase describing a sky so full of stars it looks like a flowing river. Fittingly, the main visual featured Miku styled like Orihime, the celestial princess of Japanese folklore who meets her lover once a year at the Milky Way. The concert’s setlist embraced the theme too, with songs inspired by stars and planets transforming the venue into a galaxy of sound and light.

PokéMiku, officially known as “Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE 18 Types/Songs”, is an official collaboration between Pokémon and Hatsune Miku that was announced on August 31, 2023, Hatsune Miku’s 16th anniversary. In this project, six illustrators have created designs based on the idea of: “What if Hatsune Miku was a __-type Pokémon trainer?” These designs cover all 18 types of Pokémon ranging from Normal-type to Fairy-type. Check out the hashtags “ProjectVOLTAGE” and “PokéMiku” to be wowed by gorgeous fan art from our incredibly talented pixiv users!

Triggered by an empty song titled "Untitled" that lacks both sound and lyrics, the story is all about finding your "true feelings".
