Near Future, Digitized Science-fiction World?

It is often theorized what our world is going to look like in 50 or 100 years from now. Would it become a digitized world with branching communication networks? Will we be living side by side with robots? Methods of transportation may even become so highly developed that avionics and space travel would become more practical. It’s not like some far-away world that can never exist, but instead a world with so many concrete possibilities so we can let our imaginations run free.
