Days like the pages in a calendar. Kusakabe's depiction of daily life through the seasons.
We go through a year accompanied by the changing of seasons. While there are snowy days, there are also those days in the summer that oppress us with sweltering heat──Kusakabe (草壁) is an artist who draws those repeating days with great details in the form of realistic scenery and characters that look alive.
All of Kusakabe's artworks take us back to those good old days; to our hometown or to that city that we've gotten used to living in. And that is probably because Kusakabe's natural application of colors makes the artworks look extremely real and soft. The artworks themselves incorporate so many details that they can easily be mistaken for photographs.
This time, we're featuring Kusakabe's illustrations that depict daily life through the four seasons. Enjoy!
