Drawings of Red Kitsune and Green Tanuki - Having a delicious New Year's Eve.
In the Kanto region of Japan, kitsune udon (lit. fox udon) refers to a bowl of udon noodles with a juicy fried tofu on top whereas tanuki soba (lit. raccoon soba) refers to a bowl of soba noodles with crispy tempura batter. Both are delicious, but which one do you prefer? It's also interesting to note that the names of flavors of the two dishes vary in areas other than Kanto. There are only a few hours left of 2018. Grab a bowl of your favorite noodles and reminisce over the past one year!
This time we are featuring illustrations inspired by red kitsune and green tanuki. Enjoy!
