Jujutsu Kaisen is back! The anime restarted airing and simulcasting part two of the first season from January 2021. Fans are over the moon about seeing their favorite characters again, along with some new ones! Among sorcerers, some stand out for their amazing abilities and how they climbed their ways to the top of their tier, exceeding the usual grading.

What are Special Grade Sorcerers?

In the manga, sorcerers are usually ranked from Grade 4 to 1 (1 being the higher grade), but people with extraordinary abilities are ranked with a "Special Grade".

As of February 2021, there are only 4 Special Grade Sorcerers registered in Japan.

Today, we'll be taking a closer look at these four characters! You might know Satoru Gojo already. He's the teacher in charge of Yuuji and he prides himself in being the strongest sorcerer ever since his debut in the anime's first episode. Yuuta Okkotsu is Yuuji's senpai who is currently studying abroad. His story was recently featured in the prequel Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School. We don't know much about Yuki Tsukumo yet, but we've already heard some terrifying facts about Suguru Geto, who is known for having murdered over 100 ordinary people, thus being expelled from the Tokyo faculty.
