There’s something peaceful about the sound of a wind chime (涼, suzu) on a day with a light breeze. In the west, they tend to be made of metal for a stronger sound, but they’re more often made of glass in Japan. As such, the sound of summer wind chimes has a distinctly delicate vibe to it.
